The San Antonio Spurs are looking to go up 2-0 on the Memphis Grizzlies in Round 1 of the NBA Playoffs. In game one, the Spurs shot 51.9-percent from the field including 10-for-23 from beyond the arc.
Defensive Player of the Year Kawhi Leonard finished with 20 points on 8-for-13 shooting. His defensive game was on point as well, as he had four steals and helped hold the Grizzlies to just 39-percent shooting. Tony Parker returned to form as he finished with 15 points and dished out five assists. LaMarcus Aldridge went 8-for-15 shooting for 17 points.
The fourth quarter was all garbage time as the starters were able to rest. The bench put on a show of their own behind Patty Mills’ 15 points. The bench contributed 44 points.
Memphis has dropped six in a row and 21 of the past 25 meetings including the postseason, and has lost 11 of 12 overall going back to the regular season.
