Leonard on the court is an animal. He lays it all on the line, and what you see is pretty authentic. Seeing the imitation ‘Klaw’ logos everywhere and seeing fans wear them, it made him think that the fans deserve authentic apparel.
“I’m excited to be able to offer this custom line to our fans,” said Leonard. “After seeing the logo on knockoff merchandise, I thought it would be nice if our fans could get something real and 100 percent authentic, directly from me and the brand.”
This is nothing new to anyone. There is always someone that is trying to make that quick money and as hot as Leonard is right now, from winning his second consecutive Defensive Player of the Year to leading his team to a game one rout against the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday, everyone is willing to do what they can to take advantage of his success.
This is great to see Leonard stepping up and providing the best for the fans. On the court, he does not let off any play, and he is authentic in his own right. He wants his fans to feel they are getting the same authenticity and not a rip-off.
Leonard’s new line will be available at all Jordan Brand stores as well as NikeTowns across the country.
Leonard and the Spurs will be back in action on Tuesday for game two against the Grizzlies at the AT&T Center.
