The San Antonio Spurs will take the court Wednesday without Tim Duncan for the fifth straight game.

Duncan has been sidelined with soreness in his right knee. Coach Gregg Popovich has declined to provide a timetable for Duncan’s return, so there’s a decent chance the team could opt to hold him out through the All-Star break.

The Spurs do not seem to be in any hurry to get Duncan back on the court and will look for David West to continue to start in his absence.

The Spurs have gone 2-2 in the teams four-game stretch without Duncan in the lineup. San Antonio (40-8) plays host to the New Orleans Pelicans (18-29) at 8:30 PM EST at the AT&T Center in San Antonio.
