San Antonio Spurs vs Los Angeles Clippers – Game Preview

What a better stage to set this heavy-weight battle between the San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Clippers then on National television. This marks the first meeting between these two teams since last seasons thrilling playoff series.

There are so many storylines that can be had going into this game. The Spurs are off to a great start at the AT&T Center. After their win against the Washington Wizards, Spurs notched their 14th win at the AT&T Center-without a loss.

Also winning eight out of their last nine and sporting a 22-5 record, marking the second best in the league. They are also outscoring their opponents by an average of 18.1 points per game.

Los Angeles Clippers (16-10) are coming into the Alamo City playing great basketball as well. They are winners of five out of their last six on the road.

Clippers are coming off of a win against the Milwaukee Bucks as Chris Paul scored 21 and J.J. Reddick added 19 in the teams third straight win.

What has been the storyline as of late for the Spurs has been their play on the defensive end. They are the leagues top team with holding opponents to just 88.2 points per game while also holding teams to just 41.8-percent from the floor.

With their strong play on the defensive end of the ball, the Spurs have also been producing well on the offensive side over their last eight games–108.5 points per game and shooting 52.6-percent.

This team is clicking on both sides of the ball. The Clippers are a rugged team and can quickly turn games around as well. This should be a great game and definitely have that playoff atmosphere.
