San Antonio Spurs at Memphis Grizzlies: Game Preview

The San Antonio Spurs head into the Fed Ex Forum Thursday night looking to win their 12th out of 14 meetings against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Though the Spurs are still struggling on the offensive end, what has been apparent is their defense. LaMarcus Aldridge on Wednesday night anchored down the team with five blocks.
The Spurs rank first in the league with an 88.8 defensive scoring average. Wednesday night, they held the Bucks to a season low on points (70) and shooting percentage (33.8).
Against the Grizzlies, San Antonio will need to have the same gameplay on Marc Gasol as they did in their first meeting. Gasol was held to just eight points.
The Grizzlies were in action on Tuesday and Gasol delivered–something he has not been able to do in their last five games. He entered the game against New Orleans averaging just under 12 points a game. Against the Pelicans, Gasol simply torched them. He went for 38 points and a season-high 13 rebounds in their 113-104 win.
San Antonio will have to find a way to get their offense rolling. The Grizzlies have won five out of their last six games.
