The Spurs take on the Houston Rockets at the AT&T Center for their final preseason game. Can the Spurs end their preseason with a win?

Important For Spurs To End Preseason on a Good Note

The San Antonio Spurs have had a dreadful preseason so far. They have won one of five games, and look out of rhythm. It isn’t the worst thing in the world, it’s just preseason. Last season they went 2-5 in the preseason, then they went 55-27 in the regular season.

On Wednesday the Spurs fell to Phoenix 104-84. The Spurs allowed the Suns to shoot 53% from the field and 52% from three point range. Kawhi Leonard led the Spurs with 14 points. David West and Tim Duncan added 10 points apiece. The Spurs must do a better job of limiting their mistakes. 19 Spurs turnovers led to 23 Suns points.

Rockets Blow By Pelicans in 120-100 Victory

The Houston Rockets were magnificent on Monday night. The Rockets beat the New Orleans Pelicans 120-100. Houston shot 49% from the field. The entire Rockets starting lineup scored in double digits. James Harden led the Rockets with 20 points, Ty Lawson and Trevor Ariza added 18 apiece.

One of the Spurs biggest threats in the Southwest Division will be the Rockets. The Rockets have a terrific trio in Harden, Lawson, and Dwight Howard. It doesn’t stop there as the Rockets also have a good supporting cast with Ariza, Patrick Beverley, Terrence Jones, and Donatas Motiejunas.

Who will win?

The Spurs will take care of business in a back and forth contest. Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge will have big performances, as they will get some extra run in the final preseason game. Harden will have a big game like usual, but it won’t be enough.
