The LaMarcus Aldridge saga is now over and the San Antonio Spurs now needs to focus on one thing and that is trying to get Manu Ginobili back on the team next season. Many wonder if Ginobili is up for playing one more season and if this season will be his last. The 37-year veteran has been a great aspect to the team. Throughout the years, Ginobili has proven to the team why he belongs and he has been a leader alongside Tim Duncan and Tony Parker.

Ginobili has been playing with the Spurs since 2002, but has been playing professional basketball since 1995, when he first started with the Andino Sport Club in Argentina. Four NBA championship rings under his belt and that is more than many who have been in the league for some time now. Ginobili has to make a choice on whether or not he wants to join the team, plain and simple right?

Well Ginobili is a husband and a father of twin boys, so this takes a lot from a man that is away from his family throughout the year on many road trips. Injuries also take a toll on the veteran’s body and that is why coach Gregg Popovich does what he can to make sure his players get enough rest during the long season.

The decision is hard at this point for Ginobili since Pop wants him back. We already heard from Duncan that he will return and everybody is excited by this news. Now everyone is waiting for Ginobili to see what he decides on. It is also understandable when the body gives up on you and tells you that it is time to stop playing the game that you love. Ginobili knows what his body will tell him and if it tells him to give it one more year, you will see him back in black and silver.

If it tells him otherwise, then all the fans and the Spurs organization will just have to thank him for all he has done for the team and how he will be missed by everyone. But let’s not be discouraged just yet because deep inside we know that Ginobili will play with the Spurs for one more year. If that is the case, the Spurs will try to make it all the way to the end and even make it a better finish for the Argentine.
