The San Antonio Spurs selected Nikola Milutinov with the 26th pick in the NBA Draft. The Spurs passed up on R.J. Hunter, Kevon Looney, and Chris McCullough. Milutinov possesses terrific size (7″0) and is mobile.

2014-15 Stats: 9.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.8 blocks, 0.4 steals, 57% field goals, 59% free-throws, 0 threes, 1.3 turnovers, 28 mpg
Quick Season Review: The Serbian center played for Partizan NIS in the Audriatic League. Milutinov bounced back after struggling with a knee injury last year. He turned into one of the better young players in the league. He also played in the Eurocup, posting averages of 7 points and 6 rebounds a game.
Strengths: Terrific size. Mobile and athletic. Solid rebounder. Plays with lots of energy. Good defender with shot blocking ability. Passes well for his size. Still improving. Young player.
Weaknesses: Can improve in the post. Must improve free-throw shooting. Can add weight to body. Can improve face-up game a little, despite showing signs. A little raw. Is he ready to defend NBA talent?
Where He Would Help Spurs?
Nikola Milutinov will add insurance in case Tiago Splitter is traded and with Tim Duncan nearing retirement the Spurs can use another big. Milutinov already has the size, rebounding and athletic ability, he is a post move or two away from being an intriguing player.
NBA Comparison: Robert Sacre
Like Milutinov, Robert Sacre is raw, but he plays with a motor and has good size. Both show signs of hitting a 15-footer despite being inconsistent with it.
