Quick Season Review: The Wyoming Cowboys were one of the more improved teams in the country as they went 25-10. The Cowboys lost in the second round of the NCAA Tournament to Northern Iowa. Larry Nance finished the game with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Nance led the Cowboys in scoring, rebounds, and blocks. Nance best game of the season came against Montana State when he finished with 31 points and 6 rebounds. He followed that game up with 29 points against UNLV.

Strengths: NBA-ready body. Terrific athlete (37.5-inch vertical). Good mid-range game. Good free-throw shooter. Makes good passes. Solid defender. Efficient scorer. High IQ. Quick.

Weaknesses: An inch or two undersized. Can improve as a rebounder. Shooting range improving, but can still a work in progress. Must cut down turnovers (2.3). Played in an average conference. Must improve off the dribble shooting.

Where He Would Help Spurs?

Larry Nance is a good all-around power forward that will add some scoring punch off the Spurs bench. He has a high IQ and a solid defender as well.

NBA Comparison: Louis Amundson

Larry Nance compares well with UNLV product Louis Amundson, as they both have similar size and went to a Mountain West school. Both have solid mid-range games, but Nance is clearly the better athlete.
