Quick Season Review: Arkansas had a terrific season as they went 27-9 and made the NCAA Tournament. The Razorbacks fell to North Carolina in the third round, but Michael Qualls had a monster game. Qualls finished the game with 27 points and 10 rebounds in the loss. Qualls and Bobby Portis, who is expected to be a mid first-round selection, formed a terrific duo. Wofford was also terrific in the second round against Wofford, when he finished with 20 points on 8-9 field goals. Qualls had 12 games of at least 20 points as a junior this year. His best game of the season was against Alabama, when he finished with 30 points and 8 rebounds.

Strengths: Excellent athlete (39.5-inch vertical) and incredible length (7″0 wingspan). Plays well in the big games. Can finish above rim and with contact. Plays well off the ball. Got to the free-throw a lot (5.7 attempts per game). Good rebounding wing. Improving mid-range shooter. Plays with tremendous energy.

Weaknesses: A tweener. Must improve shooting range. Takes bad shots at times. Inconsistent defender. Can he create his own shot? Must improve handle and passing. An inch or two undersized.

Where He Would Help Spurs?

Michael Qualls is a great athlete with the tools to be a good defender. If the Spurs take Qualls they will add a needed athlete that will play hard every night.

NBA Comparison: Joey Graham

Like Joey Graham, Michael Qualls is a terrific athlete and they have similar size. At this stage it appears that Qualls will have a better jumper than Graham.
