The game didn’t go as the Spurs planned. Not only did the Spurs lose they got embarrassed.
The first quarter was an indicator of what was to come. The Clippers outscored the Spurs 30-18. The Spurs narrowed their deficit in the second quarter to five as they outscored the Clippers 25-19.

The Clippers used a 9-1 run in the middle of the third quarter to extend their lead to 12 points. After a few Spurs responses, the Clippers went on an 8-2 spurt before Kawhi Leonard hit a much needed three-pointer at the buzzer to end the third.
In the fourth quarter Patty Mills jump-started the Spurs with a few triples but the Spurs couldn’t get within reach. The smallest deficit for the Spurs in the fourth quarter was 9 points.
The key in the game was efficiency, the Clippers shot 51% from the field and the Spurs shot 37%.
The Spurs did have 25 assists compared to the Clippers 16.
Kawhi Leonard led the Spurs with 18 points.
Chris Paul went for 32 points, Blake Griffin finished with 26 points and 12 rebounds.
