The San Antonio Spurs completed a sweep of their quick, two-game road trip on Wednesday night, beating the Orlando Magic 103-91.

The Spurs started slow, only leading by four points at the end of the first quarter but turned things up before halftime to take a 12 point lead entering the break.

San Antonio continued that momentum in the second half, opening the lead to as many as 25 before ending the game with a 12 point victory.

The Spurs bench was huge in the win as the reserves combined for 69 points. Aron Baynes was a big part of that charge, finishing with 18 points and five rebounds off the bench. Manu Ginobili was also good with 13 points.

Victor Oladipo tried to keep the Magic in the game with his 24 points, six rebounds, and seven assists but was just unable to. Tobias Harris also tried to aid Orlando’s effort with 18 points and seven rebounds.

. . SAN ANTONIO SPURS BENCH. A+. A day after struggling to make an impact against the Heat, the San Antonio Spurs bench stepped up big time, providing a combined 69 points against the Magic. The Spurs reserves were the main reason San Antonio won on Wednesday, allowing the team to open up that 25 point gap in the third quarter. Aron Baynes was the catalyst for the Spurs reserves, contributing 18 points and five rebounds in 24 minutes. Manu Ginobili was also solid, 13 points, three rebounds, and three assists. If the bench can provide even 75% of this effort on a nightly basis, the Spurs will be able to potentially move up the standings.
