San Antonio Spurs Highlights of Win Against Minnesota Timberwolves

It was an easy win for the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday afternoon. After getting off to a 60-50 lead at the half the Spurs pushed their lead in the third quarter to put the game away.

The Spurs outscored the Timberwolves 33-13 in the third quarter and went up by as many as 33 points. The Spurs biggest lead in the game was 35 points.

It wasn’t all good for the Spurs as Manu Ginobili sprained his ankle in the contest. After the game Coach Popovich stated that he would miss a week to 10 days.

Kawhi Leonard led the Spurs with 15 points and 5 steals. No one on the Spurs had a huge night offensively, but they had 8 players in double digits scoring.

The key in the game was simply efficiency from the field. They shot 58% compared to the Timberwolves 44%. The Spurs also hit 12 of 22 threes on the night.

Kevin Martin led the Timberwolves with 19 points, Zach LaVine added 18 points and 6 assists.
