This was supposed to be a difficult matchup for the Spurs. Taking on a young Phoenix Suns on the second night of a back-to-back is never a good thing. It wasn’t. The Spurs won the game by 27 points, going up by as many as 34 points.

There was signs of a blowout early on as the Spurs went up 24-13 to end the first quarter. The score at the half was 51-24 in favor of the Spurs.

The Spurs outplayed the Suns in nearly every area, particularly in efficiency from the field. The Spurs shot 45% compared to the Suns 30%. The Spurs out rebounded the Suns 56-42.

Kawhi Leonard led the Spurs with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Danny Green, Aron Baynes, and Boris Diaw had 12 points apiece.

Marcus Morris led the Suns with 19 points and added 7 rebounds.

The Spurs led the season series 2-1, the final meeting is on April 12th in San Antonio.
