It wasn’t the best start in the world for the San Antonio Spurs but they took over in the final three quarters. The Kings began the first six minutes going up 20-10.

The Spurs outscored the Kings 39-26 the rest of the half to take a three point halftime lead. The third quarter was evenly played as the Kings outscored the Spurs 32-31.

Strangely the Kings were the much more efficient team as they shot 48% from the field, compared to the Spurs 40%.

The key to the Spurs win was the edge in the turnover battle. The Kings turned the ball over 17 times, while the Spurs only turned it over five times.

Tony Parker led the Spurs with 19 points and Kawhi Leonard added 17 points.

Ben McLemore finished with 21 points.
