The San Antonio Spurs dropped their second game in a row on Friday night, losing to the Golden State Warriors on the road 110-99.

The Spurs took the lead after the first quarter but it was all Warriors from there as Golden State was able to build a 22 point lead at one point on their way to victory.

San Antonio head coach Gregg Popovich seemed content to let this game go as none of his starters recorded more than 25 minutes when the final horn sounded.

The well rested Warriors, who had not played since February 11th, were led by MVP candidate Stephen Curry in this one. Curry’s excellent scoring and passing ability were on full display against the Spurs as the former Davidson star collected 25 points and 11 assists in the win.

Unlike Golden State’s attack which was spearheaded by their two stars, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, San Antonio had a more well-rounded approach as each of their 13 players who saw floor time played at least 12 minutes.

Leading the Spurs on both sides of the ball was Aron Baynes, who got the start for San Antonio against the Warriors. The Australian big man finished with a double-double on the night, 12 points and 10 rebounds.
