San Antonio struggled mightily both from two and three-point range. The Spurs only shot 37% from the field and connected on only 6-of-21 three-point attempts.

The Bulls, on the other hand, shot the ball much better. Chicago finished 47.4% from the field, hitting six more field goals than San Antonio in five less attempts.

The Spurs poor effort in the paint also contributed to San Antonio’s loss. The Bulls out-rebounded the Spurs 46-39 and outscored them in the paint 42-36.

Chicago also did an excellent job getting to the line, attempting 14 more free throws than San Antonio.

Derrick Rose, who has been on a tear as of late, led the way for the Bulls with 22 points and five assists. Rose really seems to finding his groove as he has hit the 20 point mark in four of Chicago’s last five games.

Pau Gasol was also impressive for the Bulls, finishing with 12 points and a big 17 rebounds.

For the Spurs, it was once again Kawhi Leonard trying to lead his team to victory. Leonard scored a team high 16 while also collecting four rebounds.

Next up for the Spurs is a home game on Friday against the Los Angeles Lakers. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. CT start.
