San Antonio Spurs Player Grades in Win Over Charlotte Hornets

By Jay Desai

The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Charlotte Hornets on the road 98-93 on Wednesday, starting a new win streak following the team’s loss on Tuesday night to the Washington Wizards.

The Hornets scored the game’s first seven points but it was all Spurs after that as San Antonio quickly battled back, taking the lead midway through the first quarter and holding it until the final buzzer.

Manu Ginobili was huge for the Spurs, who got their eight straight win over Charlotte. Ginobili came off the bench to provide 27 points in 24 minutes.

The Hornets star point guard, Kemba Walker, was impressive as well in this one. Walker scored 28 points and dished out three assists in his usual starting role for Charlotte.

Now that the game is over, we have post-game grades for key Spurs players in the San Antonio Charlotte game!

A-. The San Antonio Spurs bench displayed its high scoring ability once again, this time against the Charlotte Hornets. The Spurs reserves combined for 46 points on Wednesday night, outscoring the Hornets reserves by 20. Manu Ginobili was a big reason for that, having flashbacks to his younger days as he went for a season-high 27 points on 10-of-14 shooting. If you’re doing the math, that means Ginobili outscored the entire Charlotte bench. I’m just going to leave you with that note there.. . . SAN ANTONIO SPURS BENCH
