San Antonio Spurs Player Grades in Win Over Minnesota Timberwolves

The San Antonio Spurs snapped a four game road losing streak on Saturday night, defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 108-93.

Although the Spurs fell behind 6-4 in the early going, it was not an issue as San Antonio controlled most of the game, even opening the lead to 20 points at one point.

The Spurs were led by a surprise hero, Austin Daye. Daye received the start with Marco Belinelli and Kawhi Leonard sidelined an produced big time for San Antonio, picking up a double-double, 22 points and 10 rebounds.

For Minnesota, the offensive attack came from rookie Zach LaVine, who had 19 points off the bench. Andrew Wiggins was also impressive, 18 points in a start.

The San Antonio Spurs bench was once again putting up big scoring numbers, this time accounting for 43 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Spurs reserves also grabbed a combined 14 rebounds and dished out 10 assists. Patty Mills was the biggest star off the bench, accounting for 19 of the 43 bench points along with three of the 10 assists. Once again, San Antonio’s bench came up big, which is crucial as it allowed head coach Gregg Popovich to rest his aging stars.. . . SAN ANTONIO SPURS BENCH. A+
