San Antonio Spurs vs Houston Rockets Highlights

The San Antonio Spurs fell to the Rockets yesterday 98-81 in Houston. The loss was not very shocking considering the Spurs were without five key players in the game.

San Antonio fell behind early against Houston, failing to score until about the midway point in the first quarter. The Spurs were able to close the gap to three at the end of one but they could not sustain their effort, allowing the Rockets to build as big a lead as 31.

James Harden and Dwight Howard ran circles against San Antonio, seemingly turning the game into a dunk contest. Harden finished with an impressive 20-6-6 line while Howard put in a monster double-double, 32 points 16 rebounds.

Opposite of the Rockets, the Spurs struggled mightily in the game, shooting an abysmal 34.4% from the field and a paltry 10% from deep.

The only bright spot for the San Antonio Spurs in this game was Cory Joseph, who led all scorers with 18 points off the bench.
