Kawhi Leonard is expected to miss the rest of the preseason according to head coach Gregg Popovich.
The San Antonio Spurs head coach stated that the 23-year-old would be out for ten days when speaking to media before the Spurs game against the Miami Heat.
The 2014 NBA Finals MVP has been dealing with an eye infection ever since the middle part of the Spurs’ trip to Europe to play against two European teams, part of the NBA’s Global Game initiative.
Kawhi Leonard’s right eye infection seems to be somewhat worsening as it has now spread to his left eye.
Kawhi Leonard has only appeared in one preseason game for San Antonio, that game being against Alba Berlin in Germany. In that match, Leonard scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds, also coming up with four steals.
According to Gregg Popovich’s time-table for Leonard’s return to the court, the emerging star will hopefully be ready around the San Antonio Spurs’ regular season opener against the Dallas Mavericks on October 28th.

Since that time-table puts Kawhi Leonard’s return exactly on that date, Leonard could potentially miss that game if his infection has not cleared up.
