Earl Watson to Join Austin Toros Coaching Staff

Earl Watson, a 13-year NBA veteran, will be joining the Austin Toros coaching staff, according to Chris Haynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Congrats to @Earl_Watson on ending a fantastic 13-year NBA career to accept a coaching position with Spurs D-League affiliate Austin Toros.

Earl Watson had been offered the coaching position previously and it looks like he has finally decided to put pen to paper and join the San Antonio Spurs D-League affiliate.
Watson, who last played for the Portland Trail Blazers, averaged 6.4 points and 4.4 assists on 41.1% shooiting during his career, playing on five different teams through his run in the association.
Earl Watson has long been thought to be an excellent candidate as a coach with his basketball IQ outweighing his talent on the floor.
