Matt Bonner has been selected to the University of Florida Athletic Hall of Fame, according to reports.

During his time in Gainesville, Bonner was a three-time All-SEC forward, and scored over 1,500 points.

The 6’10” forward is one of only six players in Gator history with over 750 rebounds and 1,500 points.  In fact, Matt Bonner is the only player in program history with those stats and 150 three pointers made, draining 165 for the Gators.

Additionally, he was the Verizon Academic All-American for basketball in both 2002 and 2003.

Bonner led the team in points during his senior season with 15.2 points while gathering 6.1 rebounds.

He parlayed that success into an 11-year NBA career where he has been a two-time NBA Champion, led the league in three-point percentage in 2010-2011, which has earned him the moniker, the Red Mamba, bestowed upon him by Kobe Bryant.
