Gustavo Ayon has decided not to sign with the San Antonio Spurs and will instead sign with Spanish ACB League team Real Madrid.

The contract is a three-year deal worth €1.8 million per season.
The news of Gustavo Ayon’s decision to sign with Spanish team Real Madrid comes after the news yesterday that FC Barcelona no longer held the Mexican big man’s rights in the ACB League.
Gustavo Ayon played for the Atlanta Hawks last season posting averages of 4.3 points and 4.8 rebounds in 26 appearances and 14 starts.

Ayon also played for Mexico in the 2014 FIBA World Cup, leading the team in points and rebounds with averages of 17.6 and 7.6 respectively.
The San Antonio Spurs had formally offered Gustavo Ayon in hopes of filling their final open roster spot.
The Spurs will now have to look elsewhere to fill that final roster spot as another one of their candidates gets crossed off the list.
