Aron Baynes played decently for the San Antonio Spurs last season, posting averages of 3 points and 2.7 rebounds in 9.3 minutes of action. He did struggle with his field goal percentage though, only shooting 43.6% from the field.
Baynes also played with the Australian national team in the 2014 FIBA World Cup. He played fantastically there, leading Australia in points and rebounds with 16.8 and 7 respectively.

Baynes is hoping to use that outstanding performance to draw more interest among teams. The Australian big has currently received some offers from European clubs, but his intention is most likely to stay with the San Antonio Spurs.
The Spurs still have one open roster spot left heading into the training camp, which begins September 27th, and could use it on Baynes. However, the two sides are yet to come to any agreement and at this rate, especially with the news today, it looks like Aron Baynes and the San Antonio Spurs will be headed separate ways.
