San Antonio Spurs Win 2014 NBA Finals, Champions of the Basketball World

The San Antonio Spurs have won the 2014 NBA Finals tonight at home versus the Miami Heat—a series that only lasted five games.

The San Antonio Spurs are the best team in the basketball world. Kawhi Leonard has won his first Finals MVP award, as he is the youngest winner since Tim Duncan won it in 1999.

Looks like there won’t be a three-peat, after all. Sorry, LeBron James, maybe on another team.

Now, only Phil Jackson and Red Auerbach have more NBA championships as a coach than Spurs coach Gregg Popovich.
