San Antonio SpursSpurs.com announces that fans are encouraged to “black out” the AT&T Center for Game 1 of the NBA Playoffs. Game 1 starts at noon on Easter Sunday, April 20th. The Spurs are making their 17th consecutive postseason run and are, again, the No. 1 seed in the West.

Stephen Anderson of ProjectSpurs.com reflects on the Spurs remarkable 2013-14 season and head coach Gregg Popovich’s ability to overcome the team’s myriad of injury problems. Stephen points out that no player on the Spurs averaged more than 30 minutes per game, and San Antonio is the only franchise to have won over 75% of both their home and away games this year.

As we looked back on the Kawhi Leonard trade here at Air Alamo, ProjectSpurs.com author John Diaz foreshadows Leonard’s role in the upcoming playoffs. The third-year swingman is averaging a career-high 29 minutes this season; he’s putting up 12 points and 6 rebounds per game on 50% field-goal shooting, a stat line that only 17 other players in the league average or beat.

FanSided’s own TheSmokingCuban.com offers a quick preview of what the Dallas Mavericks can do in this year’s playoffs after failing to qualify last year. Rami Michail breaks down each position and the schedule game-by-game.

Finally, our newest writer, Ethan Cohen, explains how Marco Belinelli is a perfect fit in the Spurs well-run system. He expects Belinelli to be an important role player in the playoffs who Pop will rely on to make shots.

Will the Spurs win Game 1?
