Tonight, the San Antonio Spurs play their last game of this NBA season against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Spurs have already secured the top seed in the Western Conference and will probably rest their starters in San Antonio; though they could tie their single-season record for wins tonight, but who cares.
Will the Spurs Rest the Starters Tonight?
FanSided’s Andrew Melnick lists the Spurs atop his Week 24 Power Rankings. The team has a 62-19 record and needs no more explanation after that. Pop has created a system that relies more on teamwork than the individual player, which isn’t exactly easy to do on a sport where superstars rule.
Founder of Project Spurs, Michael De Leon, posts a video of Matt Bonner combining his two favorite passions: wrapping and rapping. The Red Mamba makes his way to Austin, Texas, and the video even features a cameo appearance of fan-favorite Patty Mills.
And, of course, covered here at Air Alamo, we look back at the Kawhi Leonard-George Hill trade with the Indiana Pacers. After years of calling the trade a tie for both teams, I think we can finally say that the Spurs won.
