Eurobasket 2013: Parkers’ 32 Leads France Over Spain
By Michael Rehome
Tony Parker had the killer instinct as he put team France on his back and carried them to a 75-72 overtime win against a tough Spain team in the Eurobasket Semi Final today. Parker played 32 minutes and hit 11-of-19 shots from the field to lead all scorers with 32 points.
France in overtime did give Spain a chance at the end when a pass intended for Batum went off his hands and out of bounds. Spain would attempt a three-pointer to try and send the game into double-overtime but it was well short.
Marc Gasol led Spain with 19 points in 41 minutes of play.
Other Spurs playing in this game were Boris Diaw who finished with 8 and Nando De Colo, 3.
France will now play Lithuania in the Finals on Sunday.
