Eurobasket 2013: Parker Scores 18 For France In Loss To Germany

The 2013 Eurobasketball Tourney continued today as France took on Germany in the first round of group A. Spurs were in appearance during this gam for team France e as Tony Parker, Nando De Colo and Boris Diaw took the floor for their native country.
Parker led France with 18 points on the day. De Colo added 9, Diaw 7 as the team suffered a loss to Germany. The Germans were led by Robin Benzing who had a game high 19.
Both teams shot the ball well from the floor as it would be well over 50% from both. Germany came out of halftime looking to push the ball up and hit quick jumpers. France on the other hand, tried to do to much with the ball and not work it inside. Parker, when penetrating was cut off at the rim. Germany looked to take him away from the game and force him to use his teammates.
Germany was a bigger team and the rebounding showed as they were plus eleven. What France used to keep themselves in this game was points off of turnovers.
Next up for France will be a game against Great Britian on Thursday.
