This week the San Antonio Spurs are holding a mini-camp with some training camp invites. According to ESPNNewYork.Com, Jared Zwerling, veterans Mike Bibby and Mickael Pietrus are in attendance, along with a bunch of other guys as Zwerling stated in his tweets.

Mickael Pietrus is also working out for the Spurs this week. He could have a few more workouts. As for Bibby & the Spurs, only team so far.

As for the two vets, Bibby last played in the league back in the lockout season of 2011-2012 when he played for the New York Knicks. In 39 games he averaged 2.6 points, 2.1 assists, in just under 15 minutes a game. For Pietrus, he just came off a season in which he played just 19 games with the Toronto Raptors. While with the Raptors he averaged 5.3 points and under two rebounds a game.
The San Antonio Spurs have one roster spot remaining and their need of a back-up small foward, Pietrus is a likely choice and favorite in making the team. As we have heard during the off-season, the Spurs have worked out a handful of guys and have not yet pulled the trigger on that final roster spot.
We are less than a month away from training camps to open up on October 1st. Before we know it, the season will be here.
