San Antonio Spurs Shooting Guard Danny Green made an appearance on NBC Sports Show The Crossover where he sat and talked about numerous of topics. One of which was about holding the NBA Finals for most three pointers with 27.
Green who has played four seasons in the NBA also went on to talk about when he was cut by the Cleveland Cavaliers and the San Antonio Spurs in 2010. He was advised by his agent to give Head Coach Gregg Popovich a call while playing the developmental league for another shot.
He [Green] reached out to Pop and did not get an answer at first but did mention that he left a voice-mail. He stated that he did want another chance and that he would do what was needed to make the team and help the team in any way possible. What struck me was when he talked that he would hand out Gatorade, be the towel boy, whatever was necessary.
As you can tell, it worked out for the best as he is an intricate part to the Spurs success.
