According to Indiana Pacers Beat Writer Scott Agness, Jim Boylen is said to be sitting next to Coach Popovich this coming season.  Many have wondered what the San Antonio Spurs and their front office will do with the departures of their longtime assistants, Mike Budenholzer and Brett Brown.  As you know, Budenholzer accepted the Head Coaching job for the Atlanta Hawks, and Brown recently signed a four-year deal to be the man for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Former Pacers assistant Jim Boylen becomes Gregg Popovich’s top aid in San Antonio with Pop’s top asst., Brett Brown, taking the 76ers jobs.

Boylen has a lot of experience and resume full great places where he learned about the game.  He also had a chance to learn from some of the leagues best coaches to ever grace the game.  Many may know him from his days on the coaching staff of the Houston Rockets, in their days when they won back-to-back titles.  There he was part of a team coached by Rudy Tomjanovich and had Hall of Famers Hakeem Olajuwan and Clyde Drexler.

As much as we hated seeing Budenholzer and Brown leave, we all do wish them the best.  Spurs fans, we want to hear from you.  How do you feel about Jim Boylen becoming Coach Pop’s right hand man?
