Report: Brett Brown Offered Sixers Job

By Michael Rehome

First it was Mike Bundenholzer getting and accepting a Head Coaching job in the NBA with the Atlanta Hawks, and now, another of Gregg Popovichs’ staff may find himself leading his own team in the league.

Brett Brown whom has been with the Spurs for seven years has been offered the head coaching job for the Philadelphia 76ers.  When Brown is expected to become the replacement to Budenholzer as the teams lead assistant if he were to stay with San Antonio.

Yahoo Sports Columnist Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Brown has been offered the job, and is haggling with the Sixers over years and compensation.

There is no surprise that teams in the NBA look at the Spurs organization every year for jobs in which they may have on their staff.  When you have a tradition like the San Antonio Spurs, and their system is successful every single year, that is what you want on your staff.
