The quest for the services of free agent center Greg Oden has come to an end with the big man making his choice just a few moments ago.  Out of the six teams looking forward to acquiring Oden, he has come to a two year agreement with the Miami Heat.

ESPN Brian Windhorst just tweeted that Oden accepting means he will earn the minimum deal which means $1 million for the coming season and the second being a player option, $1.1 million.

San Antonio Spurs were on the short list for possible places for the services of Oden.  I for one am bummed that he chose the Heat but as a fan of basketball, you just can’t wait to see what he has to bring to Miami.  He has been away from the game for a long, long time.  There are various people out there that have seen him in workouts and state that he does look good.

I am happy for Oden.  It will be good to see him back on the floor again.
