The man with no ACL’s is about to have a new home. According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, DeJuan Blair and the Mavericks are close to a deal that will bring “The Dancing Bear” to Dallas. Thanks for that nickname, Bill Land.

Blair seems excited to join the Mavericks, as he tweeted this last night, obviously foreshadowing that a deal was close.

Good for the Mavericks. They destroyed their 2011 championship team so they could try and sign Dwight Howard and Deron Williams, and failed. Then they tried to sign Dwight Howard a second, and failed again. Then went after Josh Smith, only for him to decide that he’d rather go to Detroit. So what was Plan B for Mark Cuban? Signing Monta Ellis, Samuel Dalembert and DeJuan Blair. CHAMPIONSHIP.

No more “SMH”, “P.O.P.” tweets and Instagram rants about lack of playing time. What a shame. But seriously, we’re happy for DeJuan and wish him nothing but the best.

Here’s my favorite Blair moment from this season:

The Mavericks also got themselves a tremendous auto-tune singer.
