The Chicago Bulls today have officially released guard Richard Hamilton, according to Real GM.  Hamilton played two seasons with Chicago and appeared in 78 games (73 starts) and averaged 10.5 ppg, 2.6 apg and 1.9 rpg in 22.9 mpg.

Hamilton has many know is the type of player that runs all over the floor going through screens to set up his shot.  He is a great shooter when he is coming off of screens.  Many that have guarded him knew it would be a task in itself to stay with him.  His best days were when he played for the Detroit Pistons.

As many players do, Hamilton took to twitter to talk about the health of the team and how he thought they could of done something special.

“I wish we could of been a healthier team during my time as a bull, because i think we could of done something very special,” Hamilton wrote on his verified Twitter account. [H/T RealGm]

No word right now as to which teams are interested in the veteran player but he did express that he wanted to continue his career.
