Free agent guard Darren Collison has a new home as he reportedly will sign with the Los Angeles Clippers on a two year deal.  According to USA Today’s Sam Amick, the salary with the Clippers is $1.9 million for the coming season.

That Darren Collison salary with Clips is $1.9 million, I’m told, for the coming season. Great value & great fit. Clips keep loading up.

This past season, Collison played for the Dallas Mavericks where he averaged just under 30 minutes a game in 81 played (started 47).  He averaged 12 points, 5.1 assists, 2.7 rebounds.  He had recently played for the Indiana Pacers for two years and started his career off in New Orleans, with the Hornets.

After departing with Eric Bledsoe, the 6-foot-0 point guard is a great addition for the Clippers behind Chris Paul.
