The San Antonio Spurs big man Tiago Splitter is entering free agency this summer and he has been getting some interest around the league from other teams in which would like to acquire the Brazilians’ services.  According to John Canzano of the Oregonian, they Portland Trail Blazers have their eye on Splitter.

Here is what our friends over at Project Spurs had to say on Splitter:

Splitter improved his stats in the regular season averaging 10.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, and shot 56% from the field. However, in the postseason his numbers dipped to 6.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and shot 53%.

Centers like Splitter always are in high demand. Teams tend to overpay for size as Houston did with Omir Asik. However, Splitter’s poor postseason performance may have hurt the chance of a team (including the Spurs) from offering him a large deal.

What do you have to say Spurs fans? Should the Spurs resign Splitter or let him walk? Let us know what you think.
