What could possibly be the best video surfacing around the internet that shows a true connection of what a team has with one another came as ESPN aired a video of Tony Parker coaching….yes, taking Pops seat during a timeout and talking with his teammates.
There are many things that you can take from this video, good things. One, Parker goes up to Pop as he is standing by the paint near the basket towards their bench to talk with his coaching staff, to let him know a few things. Pop nods and Parker heads to the bench. What happens next is just unbelievable to see.
As Parker is seen heading back to the bench he starts off with, “Hey, hey, hey.” Then everyone surrounds him and closes up the huddle and listens to every word that is coming out of his mouth.
This is amazing. This is one of the many reasons that makes this team so successful. For those that have played basketball you know that the point guard is the ‘coach’ on the floor. I love that Coach Pop has that much respect for Parker to agree with what he is wanting to say and go back and pass it a long to the team.
Just seeing the enclosure over the top of him and everyone nodding, that is a team that is not about themselves but one another. Okay, enough blabbing from me, here is the video of Coach
