May 19, 2013; San Antonio, TX, USA; San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker (9) drives to the basket during the second quarter as Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol (33) defends in game one of the Western Conference finals of the 2013 NBA Playoffs at AT

On Wednesday we stated that Tony Parker was going to have an MRI on his left calf.  Right away, fans, of course, were worried and wondered if they missed something during game two of the Spurs Western Conference Finals against the Grizzlies on Tuesday night.  Dan McCarney from San Antonio Express-News had a chance to talk with Parker and he stated, everything is fine.

“Everything is fine,” Parker said of the procedure, which was done before Thursday’s practice. “They still see a lot of blood but the size is going down. Like I said (Wednesday), I feel like I’m turning the corner and I feel like I’ll be fine for Saturday.

“It feels better. Now, (the bruise) is like spread out. That’s why it felt like my Achilles was inflamed. Now it’s fine. Rest and treatment — ice and massaging to move all the blood out of there.”

As you know, Parker suffered the injury to his left calf against the Golden State Warriors as Andrew Bogut inadvertently kicked him.  All of this check-up was for was pre-cautionary.  Making sure that Parker is good.

Since the injury, he is averaging 18 points and 9.6 assists while shooting 39.8 percent in five games since.  Yeah, I think he is doing just fine.
