Let me start off by asking all of you a question. You are at the draft combine, working out for all NBA teams and during the interviewing process, you are approached by the San Antonio Spurs and the first question they ask, may we have your cell phone number and email. Would you?
Well Thomas, refused, according to Ohio.com.
Thomas said teams asked him plenty of difficult and interesting questions during his interview process at the combine. But the most interesting, he said, was the fact the Spurs’ first question was for his cell phone number and his e-mail address. He gave them the e-mail, but not the phone number.
“I can’t go around giving it out to everyone,” Thomas said Thursday with a laugh. “Now if they want to draft me, I’d be happy to give it to them.”
The guy maybe private and wants to keep to himself, but it just appalls me that he wouldn’t want to take this opportunity to give one of the best franchises in all the league your contact information. This can only mean they are interested, am I wrong?
He may have hurt his chances now as this could make San Antonio think twice about hiring him.
Did DeShaun make a mistake with not giving his number to the Spurs?
