The San Antonio Spurs Tony Parker is closer to returning to the floor.  Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express News sent out this lovely tweet early today:

Spurs finishing up practice with a little 5 on 5. Tony Parker participating.

This is very exciting news not only for the San Antonio Spurs but also to the fans.  Parker was expected to miss four weeks with an ankle injury.  Before the Spurs game against the Warriors on Wednesday night, the local Spurs show, Spurs Live, showed Parker on the floor shooting.

As stated above, he did compete in 5 on 5 to end the Spurs practice today.  McDonald sent out another tweet stating there was know decision yet on Parker playing Friday.

No determination made yet on whether Tony Parker will return tomorrow vs. Jazz. I’d guess we might know more after morning shootaround.
