Following an 83-100 loss to the New York Knicks last night, eliminating their seven-game winning streak, the San Antonio Spurs have re-assigned Nando De Colo to the Austin Toros of the NBA D-League.
De Colo has appeared in 30 of 35 games thus far, playing a small role off the bench. In 11.9 minutes per game, the rookie Frenchman averaged 3.9 points and 1.7 assists while shooting 47.3 percent from the field.
Having assisted on 21 percent of his possessions, De Colo flashed the playmaking skills that were heavily touted upon his arrival. Until his turnovers and mid-range shooting improve in the right directions, though, his offensive upside is limited a bit.
De Colo was assigned to the Toros on Dec. 2 for a one-game stint in which he tallied 14 points and eight rebounds in a victory over the Idaho Stampede.
