With averages of 22.0 points, 12.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.3 blocks in the previous week, in which the San Antonio Spurs went 3-1, Tim Duncan nabbed his 21st Western Conference Player of the Week award. The accolade is his first such award since 2009.
Not only did Duncan handle the extra workload created by the injuries to forwards Kawhi Leonard and Stephen Jackson but he was remarkably efficient in doing so, making 50 percent of his 68 field goal attempts.
Through 14 games, Duncan is currently second in defensive rating and the player efficiency rating (PER).
