Update Nov. 13, 9:19 pm: Second-year point guard Darius Morris will reportedly start in place of Steve Blake (abdominal). Morris is averaging 6.6 points and 2.2 assists in 17.6 minutes per game.

Nov. 12, 7:57 pm: Los Angeles Lakers point guard Steve Blake will reportedly miss tomororow’s game against the San Antonio Spurs with an abdominal strain according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports.

The absence of Blake, whose averaging 5.8 points, three assists, 2.8 rebounds and 39 percent shooting in place of the eight-time All-Star Steve Nash, will likely mean that Chris Duhon will start for the first time this season.

Duhon’s started nine games for the Orlando Magic last season. He totaled five points and three assists in his final start — a 12-point loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Apr. 26.

This likely means that second-year guard Darius Morris will receive a slight uptick in minutes. In five games this season, the 2011 second-round pick is averaging 6.6 points and 2.2 assists in 17.6 minutes per game.
