The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Utah Jazz 110-100 to capture their third regular season victory.

But the win wasn’t as easy as the first half — in which San Antonio grabbed a 62-44 lead — made it out to be.

Mo Williams scored 13 consecutive points in the third quarter to shave the deficit completely. He finished with a game-high 29 points on 9-of-13 shooting. The Spurs limited Williams to four points in the final quarter.

San Antonio improved their execution in the final frame. The Spurs scored on 12 consecutive possessions, with guard Danny Green chipping in for six points an assist in the final six minutes.

The Spurs (3-0) will take on another playoff opponent Monday when the Indiana Pacers arrive at the AT&T Center. Last season’s No. 3 seed in the East enters the game 2-1, following an eight-point victory in double overtime against Sacramento.
