After grabbing eight rebounds — in addition to a team-high 20 points — in the San Antonio Spurs’ 86-84 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder, Tim Duncan moved to 17th on the all-time rebounding list with 12,552 rebounds.

Duncan needs 298 rebounds to pass Bob Pettit for 16th all-time. (Assuming Duncan plays each ensuing game and averages nine rebounds per game, which isn’t realistic, we should expect him to surpass Pettit on Jan. 3 in Madison Square Garden at the earliest.)

16-year veteran Charles Barkley previously held the 17th spot with 12,546 rebounds (11.7 rebounds per game).

Hat-tip to Jeff Garcia of Project Spurs.
