The Los Angeles Lakers and Oklahoma City Thunder received the lion share of votes to win the Western Conference in ESPN’s NBA Forecast. Of 100 votes, they received an aggregate total of 98.

The other two votes were allocated to the San Antonio Spurs and Denver Nuggets, respectively.

While neither Denver or San Antonio have the talent of the incumbents, they both finished among the top three in offensive efficiency last season and could potentially string together a couple of upsets if they manufacture their optimal pace and benefit from some luck. (If they are successful in creating a frenetic pace, it is really difficult to stop these teams because they play really, really fast.)

So what do you think Spurs fans? Do the Spurs have a chance to win the Western Conference?
