Nando De Colo poised to join the Spurs?

Nando De Colo is in San Antonio for a physical according to Andrew McNeill of 48 Minutes of Hell. We can’t make any assumptions but it appears that his physical will lead to a contract with San Antonio this season. Tim C. of Pounding the Rock listed De Colo’s chances of signing with San Antonio as 60%.
Here’s McNeill’s take on De Colo:
Like many players on the Spurs roster, De Colo is a shooting guard who can play some point guard if needed. He’s a bit undersized as a 2-guard, standing 6’5″, but the real problem is his speed. From what I’ve seen of De Colo, his foot speed is bad. He can’t defend point guards in the NBA, and I’m concerned that he doesn’t have the quickness to keep up with 2-guards either.
I’m in favor of this move because it won’t require a substantial amount of money and will likely improve the Spurs’ offense a bit. (Bear in mind I have not seen De Colo play.) He appears to be in the mold of the majority of Spurs’ guards and it will be interesting to see how the depth chart shakes up. It’s possible the Spurs could flip Gary Neal along with other pieces to acquire a big, freeing up space for De Colo.
